Gigabyte Bluetooth Usb Dongle Driver Windows 7

Hi there, Apologies if this is in the wrong thread.but I couldnt see a natural home (Mods - feel free to move). I have bought a pair of bluetooth headphone (Maxtek from Aldi) and despite linking to phone/ipad etc and playing stereo (as well as accepting voice for calls etc.) when I connect them to my pc (want to use them with my Oculus Rift) they olny show up as mono.and the sound is limited in the properties to one channel/phone quality. I have read up and this seems to be something to do with the standards they are compatible with (A2DP etc), however as they work in stereo with my phone.I assume they are compatible with that?

My theory is that my bluetooth dongle (a cheap usb one from Argos) is the issue (and that isnt compatible with A2DP) - though im not sure how to test/prove this.
